A global manufacturer and marketer of home improvement and garden equipment products deployed Assert AI’s LOGIX to improve loading accuracy, dock visibility and deduction dispute resolution across high-volume distribution operations.
The client’s shipment plans were available in SAP, but there was limited real-time validation of whether the right pallets were loaded at the right dock door, into the right truck or container, and at the scheduled time. This led to inventory loading errors, retailer deductions, chargebacks and long reconciliation cycles, with deduction resolution taking nearly 120 days and only about 50% of retail deduction claims resolved on average due to limited digital evidence.
Manual supervision and periodic audits were not sufficient to detect these violations in real time, leading to delayed response and increased risk exposure.
The Assert AI Solution
Assert AI deployed LOGIX at the client’s site in 2023 to connect SAP planned activity with actual dock execution using AI Vision, edge computing and real-time alerts. General purpose cameras were installed as per Assert AI’s recommended camera schematic, with GPU enabled edge processing to identify truck, container, dock door and pallet activity in real time.
SAP Integrated Dock Validation
LOGIX integrates with SAP to compare planned shipment schedules, dock assignments and pallet details with physical activity on the ground. This ensures that loading and unloading happen as per plan, not just as per system entry.
Pallet Movement and SKU Mismatch Alerts
During loading, LOGIX detects pallet movement into the truck or container and validates SKU details against SAP data. If the pallet SKU does not match the planned shipment, the system raises real-time alerts so workers can correct the error before dispatch.
Digital Shipping Certificate
For verified loading activity, LOGIX saves snapshots and short video clips as digital proof of shipment execution. These records are compiled into a digital shipping certificate that helps distribution centers respond to deductions and chargebacks with evidence.
